BellaMei's First Week at Home

May 14 - 18~

BellaMei has a pretty easy-going personality...until she doesn't. 🤣 She's done really well though and I feel like we are emerging from the jet lag. BellaMei slept 11 straight hours on Wednesday night! Not too shabby for her 5th night after a 12 hour time change. She's sleeping in a pack-n-play in our room for now but will share a room with Bria eventually.
Monday, May 14th - BellaMei's first time holding her own bottle.
I only took two pictures on Monday. We were too busy getting back to normal life! As usual, we just jumped right back in.  Braylee & Brynna (& Brielle) went back to school, dance, and 4-H. Alex spent the day at work while I spent the day refereeing two toddlers. Ha! Bria has had a big adjustment too. When we left, she was the baby and still nursing. Now she's a big sister and having to share the parents she missed for two weeks. Both of the babies were whiny most of the day.

Tuesday, May 15th
She's wearing 9 mo or 12 mo clothes and size 2 shoes.
Beilyn shared her blankie with her. 💗
First visit to the park.
Nope. Not a fan.
Wednesday, May 16th ~ Not a fan of the doctor either.
Chopstick night
Thursday, May 17th - Learning to play together
Exploring the bonus room
It's going to be rough for a little while...
We spent over two hours at the lab trying to get her blood drawn today. She is a really hard stick.
We will have to go back and try again.
Friday, May 18th ~ Our 16th Anniversary! Our most boring one for sure. ha!
BellaMei's first time at the school for Jr/Sr High Awards Day
Braylee receiving her Honor Roll Award. She made Straight As again.
Exhausted, we all felt a little like this by the end of the week.
It was a busy week... softball games, tennis party, dance classes, doctor and lab visits...all navigated in a jet-lagged fog. Beilyn was up to her normal antics too- like dumping water all over the playroom floor in the basement and hiding things that don't belong to her.🙄 We definitely had moments when we felt overwhelmed. Yet, most of the week felt very normal, like we've always had 6 daughters. Friday evening, we had the girls' dance recital rehearsal. I took Brynna. BellaMei slept in the carrier while I visited with some friends. Alex took the other girls to Brielle's softball game. It wasn't a glamorous anniversary, but we are right where I've always hoped we would be. Happily married with a house full of kids. 💓
