Brielle's 3 yr portraits

One of my friends recently told me I hit the "in-law jackpot" when it comes to my sweet sister-in-law Mandi, and I fully agree with her! :) Mandi truly is another sister to me whom I love dearly! She also happens to be an awesome photographer. She captured amazing shots of our little 3 yr old wonder.

Fall Parade & Orphan Sunday

Friday, Brielle and I attended the Fall Parade at the girls' school. Then after school, I let them trick-or-treat at just a few houses on our road.  I let them wear the outfits they wore for school instead of their princess dresses again.

Friday evening, we enjoyed a fun fall evening with Alex's brother and his family...yummy food, laughing kids, and a warm campfire. So fun!

Saturday, Brynna attended a friend's Fancy Nancy birthday party. Here is our fancy girl all ready for the party...

Today was Orphan Sunday, a day set aside to bring awareness to caring for orphans.  The girls and I wore some of our adoption tees to church. So thankful Brielle is now a beloved daughter and soon there will be one less orphan in the world!

Our shirts say, "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:18."  When the woman sitting in front of us at church asked Brielle what her shirt said, she said, "It says China!" :)

Pumpkin Patch and more Fall fun

I was hoping for some relaxing time after all the birthdays in September but these girls keep us busy! They change and grow every day and are so fun to be around.

A few weeks ago, Brielle let me videotape her saying a new memory verse. Romans 6:23

One of my college roommates always hosts a fall party, and we were finally able to make it this year!

Brielle wrote her name all by herself in church one day without help from Momma.

After church that day, we headed over to the pumpkin patch for our annual trip to Lark Ranch. It was a beautiful day and the girls LOVED getting to spend time with family.
Braylee took a very happy Brielle down the big slide.

Hadlee rode down with Brynna.

This was a new activity this year and it was a hit!

It took Brynna a few tries but both of the big girls did back flips.

Emilee- coming down from the zip line.

Brynna & Mommy on the way out to the pumpkin patch.

Brielle and Hadlee picked little pumpkins but they were plenty big enough for them!

Brynna talked Papaw into hauling a giant one for her.

Snuggles from Braylee & Hadlee on the way back.

Cowgirl day at school. (Brynna had to wear her tennis shoes because she had PE that day.)

Last week, I had the privilige of helping out in Braylee's classroom. They painted pumpkins like globes.

This past Sunday, we celebrated October birthdays at my Granny & Pa's and then did a little trick-or-treating on our way home.

We finally got around to carving our pumpkins on Monday evening. Brynna decided that maybe she will choose a smaller pumpkin next year because her big one was so thick and difficult to carve. Brielle wanted a "Cinderella carriage."  I talked her into a crown. :)  Braylee did 95% of hers all by herself this year!

She wanted to help cut so badly!

Brielle gave it a little taste. ;)

Always has to throw in some crazy poses.

My 3 favorite pumpkins!

She loves writing her name!

There was no trick-or-treating for us last night with the bad weather and also having gymnastics.  Brielle and I are headed to the school this afternoon for the fall parade. Braylee decided the Rapunzel dress wasn't really "big girl" enough for a 3rd grader, so I threw together an 80's rocker outfit quickly last night and she said "This may be my best Fall Parade outfit yet!" :)
