School's Out!!

Today was the girls' last day of school!  They finished with Straight A's for the entire year!

Beilyn had her last day of school on May 16th, but I forgot to get a picture. The school year flew by!

Dance Recitals 2017

Brynna & Brielle were counting down the days until recital weekend! It's so fun to watch them on stage because they love it so much! Brielle was smiling so big, she looked like she might burst with excitement! Brynna (4th grade) dances with mostly high school girls. I was nervous when her instructor bumped her and a few of her friends up to the older class, but they keep up with the big girls and do such an amazing job!

(My mom recently "retired" from full time at the hospital. I'm pretty sure Brynna is convinced it was so that Mamaw could make it to her dance recital! ☺ We are already loving the fact that Mamaw doesn't have to work weekends and holidays anymore!!)

More Spring Things {Softball, Mother's Day, Nashville, and more}

Things get a little crazy as the end of the school year approaches...dance pictures & recitals, softball, school programs, etc. It sure is fun watching my girls grow up, and yet I wish I could freeze time too.

I love these adoptive mommies.  We have 22 kids among the 5 of us!

Mother's Day ~ While I was teaching Sunday School after church, Alex snuck away and picked up lunch at the Mexican place and a cookie cake. The girls knew what he was doing so they ran in the house after church and yelled "Surprise!" when I walked into the kitchen. I loved it! 

After lunch, I took a walk with just my big girls and then we all went to visit Mamaw & Papaw.

May 18th was our 15th wedding anniversary!  We had a trip planned to Jamaica, but we cancelled two days before we were supposed to leave...Bria is still nursing regularly, the weather in Jamaica was calling for thunderstorms, and several other things popped up.  When I got home from work that Wednesday, Alex walked out in his suit and asked me if he looked "Dressed for a date?" 💗 We had dinner at House of Como and then drove by our very first house before heading home and tucking all 5 of our babies into bed.  It's been a beautiful 15 years!
