Celebrating Christmas- Part 3

Christmas Sunday arrived!  It's one of my favorite days of the year. We celebrate our Saviour's birth and sing Christmas carols at church. Then we spend the rest of the day at my Granny & Pa's house.  I realize it's just a matter of time until my girls refuse to dress alike but I am enjoying it while I still can!
I love these three blessings so much!
This girl is a mess! So full of personality!

When it's time for presents at Granny & Pa's house, it doesn't take long for chaos to ensue! All of the littles were opening gifts at the same time.  I love having big families!
Haha! Brielle made it clear she did not want or need Brynna's assistance!
I love these Butterfly babies. They are so soft (and fit in American girl doll clothes).
Brielle's doll came with the name Brittnee--- which fits perfectly in our family. :)
Pretty sure she likes her new baby!
Hadlee wanted her new baby to pose with her in the pictures. :)
Aunt Trista had done an "Elf Yourself" video with Mamaw's & Papaw's face.
Kooper thought it was hilarious!
The great-grandbabies with my Granny & Pa
Sadly- with all of these kids, there is only one boy that will carry on the family name.
The grandkids- My aunt's four boys on the left, my brother and sisters in the middle, and then my uncle's two on the right.
Tanay & Braylee built a snowman.
Granny also gave Brynna a very special gift. Brynna had been asking for months for a harmonica for Christmas. I think Brynna was a little bit in shock when Granny handed her a REAL harmonica!

We made it back in time to be at the Swartzentruber Christmas for a little bit too.
Brynna & Addie sat on Tristen's lap while we played Dirty Santa.
Braylee & her daddy
Gramma brought an extra gift so Braylee could participate this year too. She had so much fun!

Celebrating Christmas- Part 2

One December afternoon, Brielle and I had the privilege of joining Brynna's class to help make gingerbread houses. Brielle mostly licked icing from a spoon and watched the other kids.

The girls had planned a night to go caroling, and they did not let the bitter cold, windy evening stop them!  We visited our neighbors Sally and Jeff. (Sally also happens to be Alex's assistant at work.)

That same evening, Brynna's dance school had their annual performance at a local nursing home. Here are some of the girls in Brynna's class. (BTW- Brielle never complains about wearing tights because when I get them out, she says, "like Bwynna's dance cwass!" She loves being like her big sisters!)

Friday before Christmas, Alex's brother and his fiance' had just made it home from Chicago so we had Alex's family over for dinner. Braylee read the kids "The Night Before Christmas."

We spent the next day at Gramma & Pappy's house celebrating together. I am so thankful for these little cousins who have the most fun together! Adam & Tristen are getting married next December so we are hoping it won't be too long until more grandbabies join the family!

Uncle Andre' was playing Christmas carols on the guitar and the kids were LOVING it!

Reading the Christmas story and singing some songs before we open gifts.

Preparing for the big day next December!

I was so excited about my gift from Tristen!

Braylee "passes out" when she is just too excited! ;)
She was happy about getting Just Dance 4 from Gramma!

Very thankful for these 2 lovely ladies that I get to call my sisters!
Mandi has our big family picture on her camera so I will have to add it soon.  We had a wonderful day and a Christmas miracle- all of the kids were healthy!!

Celebrating Christmas- Part 1

Our first family gathering was at my Grammy's house. My dad had just had surgery the day prior so he was still in the hospital. :( Some of our family from out of state wasn't able to make it this year either so it seemed like a small gathering but loud and fun regardless!

It was Brielle's first official Christmas!

Sometimes the out-takes are as good as the keepers. :)

Grammy with most of her great-grandkids

It was Miles' 1st Christmas too!
It might have been Brielle's 1st Christmas experience, but she knew exactly what to do!
She found a candy necklace in her stocking.
I am sure she thought she had hit the jackpot-- a pretty accessory and snack all in one?!

A present for me?!!? woohoo!

Hanging out with Uncle Travis
She said, "I posin'!"

Poor Hadlee! Her twin kept stilling her candy! haha!

Still have to pinch myself sometimes that God has blessed me with these 4 special people!

My girls with their cousins Luke & Lane.

The next morning, Daddy let Brielle sit at the bar to eat her ham & eggs with the big girls instead of sitting in the high chair. She loved it!
