After school on Friday, we loaded up Dora and headed out on another adventure. Our newest little niece/cousin lives in North Carolina. We have been itching to get our hands on her since she was born in August!
We stopped in Louisville for a late dinner and then settled the girls in for bed as we drove a few more hours. We boondocked in Knoxville overnight and drove the rest of the way to Charlotte on Saturday morning. We met some friends for lunch first. We had plenty of time to talk because I think the restaurant forgot about us! We ended up waiting a very long time for our table! Memories made!

We made our way over to Uncle Adam & Aunt Tristen's house...parked Dora outside like Cousin Eddie...and spent a quiet evening eating pizza and snuggling on baby Willow!
The next day was beautiful! We went to church, ate lunch at Bad Daddy's Burgers, hung out at a really cool park (It reminded us of parks in China.), and finished off the day with a cookout in their backyard. Such a fun day!

The next morning, Adam made crepes for breakfast (delicious!). After a few more Willow snuggles, we said our good-byes.

It had been a fantastic weekend but unfortunately on the way home yesterday, we received very sad news. My niece's long-time boyfriend, Evan, had been killed in a car accident. We cried and talked with the girls about the hope of heaven. He will be missed. ♥
