Disney Vacation 2010- Part 3

Wednesday (March 31st) was probably my favorite day of our trip. We dressed the girls in their princess dresses and left early to make our breakfast reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table! The girls have been talking about this breakfast date for months! As we walked onto Main St. USA, a woman pulled up in her "carriage" and asked our little princesses if they needed a ride to the castle! This was definitely an extra magical treat for the day. The girls loved it as we rode up the street...the driver honking along the way, people on the street saying "Look at the pretty princesses!" and of course...lots of princess waving! :) Brynna was eating all of the attention up! It was definitely one of those special surprises we won't soon forget. Once we arrived in the castle, we met Cinderella. She is Braylee's FAVORITE princess! This is a picture of a picture, excuse the poor quality... The girls anxiously waited for the princesses to come out and visit our table. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, the girls were in awe, and how many days do you eat breakfast in a castle? ;)
Snow White
Sleeping Beauty Jasmine Belle- We were disappointed she wasn't wearing her yellow dress. :(
After breakfast, we rode a couple of rides and then found a seat on Main Street to watch the parade...love the parades! Getting a curb-side seat is the best because the characters will often come over and greet people.
On our way out, the girls found another surprise...the Easter Bunny! As we were standing in line, Braylee informed us the Easter Bunny isn't really what Easter is all about and said it's really all about JESUS! :) We headed back to the resort for a little break. It was HOT, the girls needed to change clothes and nap, and we laid out at the pool for a bit. When we went back later, we rode more rides...including It's a Small World. Brynna says this was her favorite! Then the girls met Ariel...this was a highlight of Braylee's when we went last time too.
Posing with their autograph books
Their new Minnie Mouse flip flops didn't match, but we had to wear them! :)
My parents went to ride a couple "grown up" rides while we picked out good seats for the parade...on the curb in front of the castle...only place to watch the night parade if you ask us! :) Alex went to buy us dinner while the girls and I saved the seats. You would have never known the girls waited there for an hour & a half. They had the best time dancing, watching the castle change colors, playing with their light up necklaces, etc. (This is also when we saw Jessie & Dusty!)
Love this picture! She was having so much fun!
The fireworks were a perfect end to a fabulous day!

Disney Vacation 2010- Part 2

Tuesday (March 30th), we went to Magic Kingdom! The girls looked super cute in their Minnie shirts.
I love this picture because it totally shows the girls' personalities! Braylee is loud and silly, while for the most part, Brynna is calm & sweet. :)
We arrived just in time for one of the castle shows. It was a great way to introduce Brynna to the park (She obviously doesn't remember her 1st trip since she was only 9 mo. old.)...she got to see Mickey & friends as well as the Princesses. The girls LOVED it! Brynna said she's going to be a dancer like them when she grows up. :) Braylee was ecstatic when Cinderella appeared!
Braylee remembered riding the "flying elephants" from last time so she was excited to ride them again. While standing in line, Brynna said she wanted a pink one and Braylee wanted a purple one. Just like last time, we were the "first ones out of the gate" so the girls' wishes were granted.

Braylee (& Mommy)
The girls really enjoyed Belle's Storytime. Thanks to Mamaw & Papaw for going to save them a spot while the girls played in Pooh's playground, the girls got to sit in the front row! They loved it...especially since they got to give Belle hugs afterwards.
I realized it was crowded but not much worse than the previous times we had been...except in Toontown. I was hoping Brynna could get a good look at the outside of Minnie's house, but it was pretty crowded out there. Of course, now Brynna wants a pink & purple house when she grows up. :) The girls loved meeting all of the different characters and collecting more signatures in their books. The only one Braylee didn't want to meet was the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. She said she was a little scary...but blamed not meeting her because she wanted to eat her chicken strips. ;) Miss Brynna went by herself and looked so tiny standing next to her! When she was done, she said, "Mommy, I was braaave!" No trip to Magic Kingdom would be complete without visiting Mickey Mouse in the Judge's Tent. We were lucky to find Minnie was visiting him when we stopped in. :)
Is this not the cutest thing?! The girls love their new Minnies from Mamaw. Notice Brynna's is pink. ;)
It was nice knowing we would be at Magic Kingdom for two days so we weren't rushing around trying to get everything done in one day. We ended up eating dinner at Joe's Crab Shack...not our 1st choice but it was close to the resort and we were tired. Braylee told Brynna to take a picture of her with Mommy & Daddy...and Brynna did a great job! Then I took one of Brynna with Mamaw & Papaw. Even after a busy day, the girls were still going strong and showed off some of their dance moves for us. I had to take a picture of Brynna on Pooh's honey pot ride since that was the very 1st ride she ever went on! She is such a cutie!
Here she is at 9 mo( She looks a little scared!)... And then as a big 3 yr old!
Stay tuned for Day #2 of Magic Kingdom. :)

Quick Update on the Twins

I've had several people ask about the twins and since their momma is a bit preoccupied at the moment, I figure I better let you all know what is going on. ;) Miss Hadlee had a 6-hour long test done with the pulmonologist (lung doc) on Monday. For lack of a better word, she failed. She will remain on oxygen at home for at least another month...which also means Tracee still cannot go anywhere with the twins by herself. Hadlee still has to use the car seat bed and her oxygen needs requires someone to be in the backseat with her. Kooper is going for the same test this week. He isn't on oxygen, but the test will determine if he's actually getting enough oxygen on his own to prevent damage in the future. Right now, I think Tracee feels like all she does is feed them. Hadlee takes an extra long time to feed...about an hour. Tracee has been a trooper with trying to nurse/pump to provide the babies with the best nutrition possible...and it's working because they are definitely growing! I think Hadlee now weighs 6-something and Kooper has reached 8-something!

Disney Vacation 2010 - Part 1

Our vacation was cut a little shorter than we had planned. We had already realized we would need to come home a day early to be home for Easter, but then BR made it to State...and we couldn't miss the big game. :) So, we tried to make the most of every moment we had. We headed out as soon as the BR game was over on Saturday afternoon. The girls did amazingly well in the car...reading books, playing Leapster, watching DVDs, and taking naps. We stopped during the night to sleep for a little bit and then met up with my parents around 6am the next morning. We ate a quick breakfast at the Waffle House (a tradition for our first morning in Florida) and then drove the last couple of hours to the resort. It was warm and muggy when we arrived. The girls couldn't wait to get in the pool! In the afternoon, mom and I went to get groceries and it poured! We were soaked when we got back, but we were glad it rained then instead of later in the week.
Blowing Mommy a silly kiss...
Monday morning, we had breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's. The girls loved it! Brynna started dancing around as soon as we arrived. The girls definitely had to try the Mickey Mouse waffles. I love Braylee's expression in this one. Minnie was the last character to make it to our table. Braylee was waiting so patiently for her and was definitely excited to greet her! The girls' Mickey doll had to come along for breakfast too. ;) After breakfast, we went to Animal Kingdom. My mom thought for sure the girls would love the 3D "Bug's Life" show but it was a little TOO real for them. ha! Our favorite part that day was the safari...very realistic. We were thankful Mamaw & Papaw were able to join us on the trip. (I'm sure my dad learned way more about Disney Princesses than he ever cared to know!) This is how Brynna spent a lot of her time...perched on Papaw's shoulders.During the parade, Brynna waved and waved...the entire time...notice with her left hand. This girl still hasn't decided whether to be a lefty or a righty. ;) Braylee loves elephants and couldn't wait to see them. When the safari was over, she told Alex, "I love elephants so much, I would marry one if I could!" haha!
