Rest of February

At the end of February, Braylee & Xiaoyun went to a retreat for high school girls at a local church. The same day, Brynna & Brielle both went to Bible Memory Winter camp.  Beilyn & Bria did a little painting while they were all gone.
When you eat dinner at an Amish relative's house, the kids might eat in the garage beside the buggy. 😄
Beilyn was not happy when I told her I was going to take SuzyQ S'mores to the vet so that she can't have babies. She said she was sure SuzyQ wanted to have babies. I told her there are already lots of cats who need homes.  She went straight to action-- she made a sign that said, "If you a cat and not have a home, you can come live with us." 💜
Really filling up the pew with girls this morning! Hadlee & Mattinglee came for a sleepover.
It was also BellaMei's 1st time in her own Sunday School class! She's not technically 3 yet, but I signed up to teach the preschool class this quarter so she could start.
Alex has been dreaming about getting Masters tickets again since he watched Mickelson win there in 2004. He ordered a new chair to take with him in April and of course had to try it out. 😄

My Cheerleaders ❤️🤍🖤

My girls sure love cheering for our Barr-Reeve Vikings! Braylee is a freshman and was on the JV squad. Brynna cheered for her 7th grade team. And the little girls cheer for their big sisters and the rest of the Vikings. 😄

Brody is her cousin/best friend/"brother." I love how close they are!

Atlanta with Friends

I just got back from a long weekend in Atlanta with some of my favorite mommas!  We all met about 7 years ago in the adoption community, and then all brought home girls the same age within in a few months of each other (Beilyn's adoption).  I "talk" to these mommas daily, but it's even better getting to spend time together in person.  We laughed a ton, cried a few tears, prayed together, shopped some consignments stores, pampered ourselves, and ate way too much yummy food!
We were able to meet up with a few other special friends too.

Thankful for the time away, but my girls made sure re-entry to mom life didn't disappoint either. 🤪 I spent the morning removing a foreign object (a pink bead) from a baby's nose and then the afternoon removing slime from the same baby's hair.

Valentine's Day

We had a little pizza party with our Valentines a few days early since I'll be out of town this weekend. I continued the tradition of getting the girls new swimsuits in preparation for Spring Break.
(Braylee's suit hasn't arrived yet.)
Brielle finished her Valentine card box too!

Daddy/Daughter Dinner

Last night was the Daddy/Daughter Dance... but their daddy didn't get tickets before they were sold out. 🙁  He promised to make it up to them and instead, invited them to wear their new dresses to a fancy dinner out. (I got to tag along as we celebrated 22 years together on 2/6!).  I know the girls were disappointed to miss the dance, but I'm pretty sure they won't forget this special dinner date either.  (Brielle was at a birthday party and all of the little girls were sick so they would have missed the dance anyway.)
