A Week in December

Bria had a big day on Monday. We went to Aunt Mandi's in the morning for her 5 yr portraits.  Back when I only had 2 girls, I decided to have portraits of the girls in the same dress on their 5th birthdays.  I didn't realize then how many times we would have to do this. ha!  The dress and shoes were both too big for our peanut so we used chip clips in the back of the dress and stuffed the shoes with cotton. 😁  She loved posing for Aunt Mandi! Then in the afternoon, she had her well-check visit with Dr. Ruff. She weighs 32 lbs (5%) and is 41.5 inches tall (25%).  She had her Kindergarten shots today too! I can't believe how quickly these past 5 years have flown by!

Dec. 8th - After the abrupt end to the basketball season last year, we were all excited about the 1st game of the season this year! It was also the first game played in the new gymnasium.
Dec. 10th - She loves that her BFF is in her dance class!
Dec. 11th - Playing at the Ford Center would have been really cool except they allowed very limited attendance due to Covid restrictions. It was eerily quiet in there. The team we were playing was missing a starter which made the game a little boring too.  This picture was taken toward the end of the 2nd quarter when we were up 33-5.
My cheerleader sitting with her friends during half-time.
Dec.12th - Brielle's team is just having intersquad scrimmages right now since there wasn't a league due to Covid.  It allows for fun moments, like Brielle trying to get the jump ball against her teammate who is over a head taller than her. 😁

Bria's Bug Birthday Party

We celebrated our bug-loving, new 5 year old last night! She loved the party so much that at the end of the night, she asked if we could go back to the beginning and do it all over again! 🥰-🐛🐝🐞🦋

Happy 5th Birthday, Bria! {And Alex too!}

I cannot believe our little surprise baby is 5! She loves horses, bugs, and all things Frozen.  She's funny, quick to forgive, has the cutest little girly giggle, and is basically pure sunshine! ☀️

In the past year, she learned to ride her bike without training wheels, started preschool, and began dance lessons.  I'm pretty sure mommy is still her most favorite 😉 but she & BellaMei are almost inseparable. She talks.all.the.time and is still a teeny little thing! (She weighs less at 5yrs than Braylee did at 3yrs!)  She loves being independent- attempting to make her own breakfast, making her bed, brushing her hair, etc.

Last snuggles with my 4 yr old at bedtime.
Happy 5th, Birthday! (Braylee had already left for Bible Study.)
She drew Rapunzel with a mask on.
Birthday tradition- go to Walmart to look at all of the toys (and then mom gets by without buying any because "We'll put that on your Christmas list!").
Lunch date with her Birthday Buddy.
😍😍😍

We celebrated our favorite guy too!  Alex juggles a busy career, teaching at church, coaching, school board, etc and yet still always feels available and present for the girls and me. He loves us well and daily points us to Christ. He deserves a big Best Girl Dad award too! 🏆
She is the sweetest!
FaceTiming with Willow.

I think she had a great day!

The kids went back to school today too after being out for almost 2 weeks!
