Easter {& another Birthday party!}

It was a beautiful Easter Sunday. We went to my parents' house after church and celebrated BellaMei's birthday again.

The Easter bunny came!
Bright and early for the sunrise service.
Right after we sang The Old Rugged Cross, Krista leaned over and whispered, "There's a cross in the sky." 🤍
Happy Easter!
So thankful Krista was feeling well enough to be there!
Love these girls so much! Still not sure what we will do without Braylee at home next year!
Egnew cousins, minus the 5 oldest
Papaw had a surprise for the girls- a bunny living in the planter!
We laughed and laughed at how many times Merritt dumped her basket.

My Pa turned 91 a couple of weeks ago. When I called him that morning, he was already on his 3rd errand of the day. I hope I'm as active as him at his age!

Brielle & Hadlee are best buds.
Braylee did a little photoshoot with them.

Celebrating BellaMei's 6th Birthday {& a BIG Surprise for Brynna!}

We celebrated BellaMei's Birthday with Alex's side of the family last night. Brielle helped me make the cake. She did the fondant work all by herself!

These two thought they were really getting away with all of that sugar. They ate the ice cream and went back to playing. 😄
This morning, Alex brought home a surprise for Brynna!
Headed to the golf course in her new car.

Biltmore & The Masters

Alex and I spent a few days away. He and his brother have been to the Masters twice before and were thrilled when Adam's name was pulled in the lottery for this year. It was just for the Monday practice round, but they will take any chance they get to see Augusta. Tristen and I were lucky enough to go along this time too!

First, Alex and I spent a day at Biltmore. We've made plans to visit several times in the past and it hasn't work out, but we finally made it. The weather was perfect. We had the last timed-entry of the day to tour the house so it felt like we had the place to ourselves.

We rented bikes and stopped to climb some rocks for a snack by the river.
We only biked about 6 miles but the hills were rough!

In January, I read a historical fiction book about Cornelia Vanderbilt. In the book, it talked about her father's extensive library. It was cool to see the huge collection in person! To admit more of my nerdiness, the audio tour said George Vanderbilt was not only an avid reader but also enjoyed hosting authors in his home, including Henry James who wrote the book I'm reading now!
The next day, we went to the Masters. Our day at Augusta was amazing! Tristen and I finally get the hype now!
The only photo we have of the day because cell phones aren't allowed.
It was cool to see this posted the next day. We actually watched this interaction happen, and we met Kyle Porter last summer when we were in Scotland.
Totally random but too cute not to share.
