Disney Trip Day 8 {Hollywood Studios}

Friday, January 5th~

When we arrived at Hollywood Studios, Alex and Brynna went to ride Star Tours while the rest of us got in line to see Olaf. We met up with them at the Little Mermaid show and then went to our favorite, Beauty and the Beast! I remember sitting in that same amphitheater on 11/29/13 as I said a special prayer for our little Kai turning 14 months old that day in China and wishing she was with us. I hadn't seen her face or read her file yet, but I knew her name and birthdate and couldn't stop thinking about her! And then on this day 4 years later, she was sitting in her daddy's lap and smiling from ear to ear as she watched the show. ♥

Disney Trip Day 7 {Animal Kingdom}

Thursday, January 4th~

We were all so excited to see the new Pandora area at Animal Kingdom. Since you can only get fastpasses for one of the Avatar rides, Alex and the 3 older girls got up early to be at the park before it opened to get in line for the ride, Flight of Passage.

Even arriving before the park opened, they waited about 2 hours to ride it! Thankfully, Alex was able to get a Rider Switch card (for parents with small children) for me to ride with him later. The ride was AMAZING!! 

Meanwhile, Beilyn and Bria slept in a little and we arrived at the park a little after 9am.

After lunch, we went to the Lion King show. Brynna was chosen as one the dancers to run around the stage during "Circle of Life."

It was cold, yet dad still bought them ice cream and a popsicle. 😄

Disney Trip Day 6 {Rest Day at Fort Wilderness}

Wednesday, January 3rd ~

It rained throughout the morning so we decided to stay at the campground all day and extend our trip an extra day. Our campsite was directly across from the bath house and laundry facilities, which made it convenient to get a little laundry done while the girls read and watched a movie. After lunch, we walked around the campgrounds and found a playground. That evening, we played Disney Candyland and tried to get to bed early...that is until the heater kicked off. We were out of LP gas! Who would have ever guessed we would be running the heater while in Florida? No gas place was open at that hour, so we drove to Walmart to buy a space heater.  All we could do was laugh about it! (Brynna, Brielle, and Beilyn slept through the whole ordeal and had no idea we had ever left the campgrounds! ha!)

Disney Trip Day 5 {Epcot}

Tuesday, January 2nd ~

We knew the temps were going to be cooler than normal, but the forecast was still calling for mid to upper 60s for the week when we left home. The arctic blast ended up being worse than predicted! So much for any of the cute outfits we packed. 😕 We just piled on the layers and resorted to buying overpriced black toboggans to stay warm when the sun went down! We have been at Disney when it was 101* and now as cold as the 30s, and we still had a blast regardless!

We started our morning riding Nemo's ride and then had breakfast reservations at Akershus in Norway. We loved eating there on our last visit, and it did not disappoint this time either! (We prefer it over Cinderella's Royal Table at the castle.)
