Lots of people have been asking if we have travel plans yet so I figured an update was due. We are currently waiting on our LOA (Letter of Acceptance). This approval has a variable wait time...from less than 40 days to 140+ days. There is no rhyme or reason to the wait. We are just hoping we have a fast translator and a processor with a shorter stack of dossiers on their desk. ;) We are currently on day 55 of our wait. Most people get their LOA around 60-90 days so we are praying our LOA arrives before the end of Janurary. If the rest of the steps go smoothly, we would travel 12-14 weeks later, which means we would travel before the end of April. We are also hoping for some updated pictures and information in the next week or two!
The internet has connected us with many other families adopting from China, but we were most excited to find a family using our same agency, adopting a little girl just a day older than Brielle from the same province, and they also have two kids at home who are 5 and 7! We are both waiting on our LOAs and hoping that just maybe we will get to travel together.
Miss Brielle was missed during our Christmas celebrations but she received lots of goodies from her family who loves her already! I can't wait to see her with her new clothes, blankets, and baby dolls!
