Celebrating Christmas 2013 {Longest post ever}

We began our Christmas celebrations with my mom's side of the family at Grammy's house in the middle of December.
Brielle with cousin Luke
The great-grandkids (minus 2)

Tried to get one with Grammy but Mr. Miles was done by then. ;)

Love from Grammy & missing our Gramps

Best Buddies- Brielle & Hadlee

The kids emptied their stockings.

And then this happened...she was introduced to PixyStix aka candy crack.

It was instant love for her. ;)

A few of their favorite gifts...

After church on Christmas Sunday, we celebrated with my dad's side of the family at Granny & Pa's. It is always chaotic. every year. and loud. but so fun!
My sweet little girlies at church. ♥♥♥
With cousins Sydney & Addison

Me & my mini. She has a heart of gold.

Braylee had the honor of reading Luke 2 this year before dinner.
Devotional with Pa before we ate. My Pa will be 82 in a couple of months. I remember when his hair was gray and he told me he wished it was a shiny white instead. I would say he got his wish. ;)
Excited about opening gifts- with Hadlee & Calvin

Giving a thank you hug to Granny

Out take as we prepared for the group photo. ;)

And more babies on the way!!

grandkids with Granny & Pa
Great grandkids

Miles- trying to avoid all of the craziness
Papaw always lets the kids sneak snacks!

Miles & Brielle (in her new outfit from Granny)

The next celebration was at my mom & dad's house on Christmas Eve.
My brother's kids in the back, Tracee's twins with Braylee, and Trista's little boy on Mamaw's lap.

Our whole family, including my grandparents and dad's brother
Brynna (woke up with a stye in her left eye) & Papaw
True sister moment--- Brielle is swatting at Brynna
Not so sure about all of the attention
Miles taking pictures. ;) More Pixystix for Brielle!

She was so happy, she just about knocked Mamaw over with her hug!

Miles was mimicking Granny. :)

Tracee & Nick

Heather & Travis

She just gets so excited! (and her poor eye was almost swollen shut)

Flynn Rider and Rapunzel dolls from Aunt Heather. I have found them in her bed on several mornings. ;)
A bit of quiet in all the noise
Headed to church after a special day at Mamaw & Papaw's house

After church, it was getting pretty late and the girls were a bit slap happy.  It was close to midnight by the time they went to sleep!

Special snuggles with Brynna because her eye was bothering her.

This little girl must have had too many pixystix!

*pink bow courtesy of Brynna of course. She also was certain Santa preferred chocolate milk.
Santa came!

Christmas at our house... we waited for the grandparents to come for brunch and then opened gifts.

New leg warmers for dance class
Pure joy- paintbrushes for our little artist. When I asked her what she was doing during indoor recess at school last week, she said, "Oh, just sketching." ;)

Just a bit excited about her Sofia the First set
Double-fisted "yes!" She had specifically asked for one with "the sister in the yellow dress."
At the top of Braylee's wish list this year was a new Bible. She loves it!
Brielle opened a box that had matching shirts for her and her little sister.
Excited about her new Bible too!

Carriage necklaces to hold their pearls from Disney World

She said, "Let's get the tea party stuff!"

New desks that are going in the bonus room

That evening, we went to Mandi & Andre's for snacks and games.
I look tired.  We may have been up until 2:30 putting desks together the night before....

A few days after Christmas, we celebrated at Alex's parents' house. We were happy to have Uncle Adam & Aunt Tristen home, but unfortunately, Aunt Tristen was sick the whole time. :(
The 6 grandbabies.

Uncle Andre' played O Come O Come Emmanuel...while Liam gives the snowman kisses. ;)

My sweet niece Ella.
Snuggles with Gramma
"I get to open a present!!!"

The girls absolutely LOVE this game from Aunt Mandi.

You can't tell in this picture but she was really excited about this! She often asks to watch "that guy and the minions. That guy with the big nose."

Lou put together a "family night" basket for us with a movie, Wii game, and snacks. I just loved my "little family" of drinks. ;)

Braylee's favorite gift- a flicker
Liam was eating chocolates when no one was looking. ;)
We finished up our Christmas celebrations with Alex's mom's side of the family on New Year's Day. Their family is so big that we meet in our church's fellowship hall.
Some of the great-grandkids
Getting ready for Dirty Santa. We also did something new this year. We pulled a question out to answer--- a favorite scripture, a way that God had shown His love to you this year, favorite childhood memory, etc.
Brielle took my camera and was taking lots of pictures. She even has a toe pop when she's on the other side of the camera! She was telling us how to pose. So funny!

But then she caught these really cute ones of Uncle Andre' and Ella!

We are so very blessed with close-knit and loving families. Thankful for another year with all of them.
