The forecast had called for rain until noon, but we were blessed with amazing weather again! After breakfast at the hotel, we walked over to the Alamo. We watched a musket demonstration and marveled at how the Alamo has been preserved in the middle of such a big city. Then we went over to the Riverwalk and had lunch along the river (getting a table big enough for our family and while Bria was sleeping determined where we ate 😄).
Ariel, whom we've known for many years, and her family met up with us after lunch. They took a little riverboat cruise with us and told us about local life in beautiful San Antonio.

Alayah is just 6 weeks younger than Bria.
Of course we needed some dessert by this time, so we found a new ice cream place we've not tried before. I couldn't pick just one picture of my cuties in the stroller. Brielle adores her baby sister, and I believe the feeling is mutual.

Beilyn's was called "grasshopper" which was perfect for her because she thinks she has a pet grasshopper in our front yard. 😆

Braylee chose apple caramel ice cream.

We went back to the hotel so Bria could take a nap. Then we freshened up and met some old friends for dinner that night at The Cove. Jon and Alex worked closely together at BKD and played on a softball league together back when all of us were still in Evansville. We even went to California together back in our pre-kids days. We hadn't seen them since they moved to San Antonio about 8 years ago. The Cove was a great spot- amazing food, fun atmosphere with live music and a playground, pet friendly (We kept losing Bria because she wanted to play with the puppies!), and perfect weather.
