Combines & Crafts

Saturday, we went up to my Granny & Pa's house for a visit. We went into town for lunch and shopped for tennis shoes for the girls. It was so much cooler than I had expected! The girls also visited my Pa and Uncle Tim back at the shop. Braylee climbed up in the combine and loved posing for pictures in its big wheel.

Sunday, Braylee was in the mood to make another craft while Brynna was napping. We used a cereal box to make a treasure chest. We cut off the top and part of one side, then folded the other side over and used a piece of velcro to keep it closed. After painting it, she decorated it with stickers. Then she put her jewelry box in it...I guess she thinks her jewels are safer if they are in two boxes. ;) (The directions in her Disney magazine actually show it decorated as a treasure chest, but Braylee wanted it more girly.)

Yesterday, Mamaw, Aunt Trista, the girls, and I went to Evansville to use our gymbucks and run a few other errands. Brynna also had her 3-year pictures taken. We laughed with each picture... such a little poser and so sweet! It was difficult picking out just a few to buy because they all turned out great. Of course, we ate dinner at chips and dip too. :)

When we were at my Granny & Pa's on Saturday, Braylee sang all of the books of the Bible for them, so my Pa gave her a dollar. She was sooo excited about using it to buy an ice cream cone! On our way home yesterday, we stopped by McDonald's for her big reward. The cone was huge! Within seconds, we heard the drama...the ice cream was in the seat and her cone looked empty. Thankfully, Mamaw quickly scooped it back onto the cone and Braylee didn't seem to care that it had been in the seat only seconds before! ;)

My ballerina taking a nap today. ;)
