PNW Trip Day 13 {Seattle}

We stayed at a KOA in Kent, Washington (between Seattle and Tacoma) last night and then took the bus & metro into Seattle this morning.
Our transfer was at the airport-- where our Juan became a US citizen!
As we were walking up to Pike Place market, I spotted Rose & Katie crossing the street! They are our friends that we convinced to drive our RV back home (We are flying home from Portland.), but neither of us knew the other would be in Seattle today!
I fell in love with all of the fresh flower shops in the market.
We found the rest of Rose's family inside.
Alex, Chris, and all of their girls! 🥰
(Alex & Rose are actually 2nd cousins through their dads.)
We explored the market and tried some yummy (and not so yummy 😝) treats from a few vendors.
Not a fan of the blueberry sage jam.
Trying different flavored-honey sticks.
As we were walking out of the market, we ran into two teachers from our high school.
Again, traveling makes you realize how small the world really is!
When we were in Coeur d'Alene, a woman found out we were headed to Seattle. She grew up here and recommended Ivar's fish and chips on the pier.

After lunch, we walked back up to Post Alley below the market to visit the gum wall.  It was disgustingly cool.
Bria swallowed her piece of gum!
After thoroughly sanitizing our hands, we went back into the market to visit one of the bakeries (and watched more fish throwing).  Alex and the older girls also grabbed a drink at the original Starbucks. BellaMei was sleeping in Alex's arms as they stood in line. She was beginning to wake up but still had her eyes closed when some Chinese girls came walking through speaking Mandarin. She immediately popped her head up and looked around. It's interesting that she's been home longer than she was in China and yet Mandarin still stands out to her. ❤️
After our desserts, we walked about a mile over to the Space Needle area.
Why does she have to grow up!?
The girls loved the huge playground at the Seattle Center, right next to the Space Needle.
Bria is only 3, but she has a very nurturing personality. So sweet watching her help this little girl. 💕
Then the girls played in the International Fountain.  I'm sharing a lot of pictures, but I just couldn't choose!  These pictures scream Joy! This is what childhood should look like! ❤️
We headed into the Space Needle. This is Beilyn's reaction about going that high in the air. 😄
Bria was a little nervous and this was her way of coping with it. ☺️

Bria was nervous around the top, but she didn't mind the rotating glass floor on the level below at all. 🤷🏼‍♀️
We "bungee jumped" off the Space Needle through virtual reality.
We considered going to Chinatown, but we were really in the mood for artisan pizza. Zeek's, a Seattle-based place, was nearby so we ate there.  It hit the spot!
Perfect example of how "flip floppy" Beilyn's emotions are...
They were Facetiming with Pappy and our puppy Leila. I have no idea why she was upset.
20 seconds later. 😁
The girls grabbed free slushies at the 7Eleven next door since it was 7/11.
We walked back to the metro station and made it back to our RV around 8:30pm.
20,000 steps later... Thanks for a great day, Seattle!
