PNW Trip Day 12 {Idaho}

We had a lot of driving this morning as we left Glacier and continued on westward.  We made a quick stop at Flathead Lake in Lakeside, Montana. Brynna requested this stop after seeing pictures of the lake on Pinterest. The water is super clear, which makes the lake look shallow but it actually averages 167ft in depth!
The Wild Horse Plains area was beautiful. Just driving through as we spotted these 4 elk.
We've driven through Idaho before, but this was the first time stopping for the girls and me.
We spent the afternoon in Coeur d'Alene. The city park was really nice and right on the lake.
We had a picnic in the park with burgers from Hudson's Hamburgers, a 4th generation family-owned restaurant on the main strip. Alex said it's run a little like Soup Nazi and has a very limited menu-- hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and double burgers. No sides. They were delicious with a special spicy mustard and lots of pickles!
Alex used to travel a lot with his job back when we were dating. He proposed to me on a Sunday morning and then flew out that evening to Coeur d'Alene for the week. Now here we are! Almost 19 years later and 6 kids in tow!
Huckleberry is a very popular flavor around here.
We loved the Farmer's Market and fun shops downtown.
She always asks "Is he a boy or a girl?" Then she'll ask what kind of puppy it is and what its name is.
The poor strangers can't understand her though which is often written all over their faces. 😄
Braylee took these next photos at the Farmers Market. 😍

We spent the rest of evening driving to Seattle.
