If only all Saturday mornings could start with ocean waves, picnic breakfasts, and walks on the beach!
| I love how God is using our animal-lover to create opportunities for us to meet people all over the US. This man was very sweet and told me about losing his wife and how he recently remarried, all while Beilyn & Bria played with his dog, Jasmine. 💕 Beilyn is in a phase where she really loves to wear mommy's shirts. It helps her sensory needs because it smells like me and gives her something to chew on. I love this quirky girl. |

| Entering Oregon! |
| Astoria is such a cute town on the coast. |
| It's where Goonies was filmed! |
| Continued down the coast to Cannon Beach. What a gorgeous day! |
| Haystack Rock. I was instantly transported back to the 1980's and the hundreds of times I watched Goonies. |
| The rocks were covered in starfish, sea anemones, and hermit crabs. |
| The rocks behind us are called The Needles. |
| We walked back up the beach while Alex went to get the RV. |
| When he picked us up, he surprised the girls with treats from a candy shoppe- chocolate-covered twinkie, oreos, nutter butter, marshmallow, and a cookie. |
| We kept stopping along the coast to see these awesome views! |
| The other two girls were not in the mood to pose. 😊 |
| We drove down to Tillamook and stopped at the Blue Herron Cheese Factory. We sampled some of their cheeses & snack dips and then fed the animals. |
| This is my view often. 🥰 |
We also purchased some nostalgic candy in the gift shop.
Really giving them the '80s childhood experience today! 😁 |
| I was hoping they had candy lipstick too but couldn't find any. Or Tart n Tinys! |
| We moved on down to Depoe Bay for dinner. It boasts the world's smallest navigable harbor. We stood on the rocks in the bay, next to the Whale Watching Center. We saw a couple of whales before heading into the restaurant for dinner. Thousands of whales migrate through here each year, but they are closer to the shore in the summer. I couldn't believe how close they were! Some gray whales live in this area year round. |
| The Horn Public House restaurant had an amazing view of the bay. Everyone would cheer each time a whale showed it's tail. The house was used as a barrack's house back in WWII. |
| We fell in love with cheese curds in ND and have been ordering them any chance we can! |
| Juan really loved the dipping sauce. 😄 The cheese curd was basically just her scoop. |
We finished the day in Newport at the South Beach State Park. Today, we noticed Oregonians really like their dogs, walking trails, and coffee shops. We also found it interesting that Oregon has pump attendants at all their gas stations to pump the gas. A quick google search says they didn't allow any self-pumping until last year. 🤷🏼♀️
