The forecast had shown rain so we were thrilled when the sun was shining brightly this morning! We grabbed some donuts on our way to Franconia Notch State Park where we hiked to Flume Gorge. (It was a really cool hike, but it's the first time we've ever had to pay per person to enter a trailhead. It cost our family $105 to do this 2 mile hike. That's a bit pricey considering most state or national parks are $20 or less for the whole park.)

| Bria learned a 50 States song in preschool that included "Vermont's Maple Tours" so we figured this would be the perfect trip to include one. We visited Sugarbush Farm in Woodstock, VT where we sampled their many cheeses & pure maple syrups, learned how maple syrup is made, and bought some goodies. |
| The forecasted rain hit while we were on our way to the farm, but thankfully, it only rained during our drive. |

| Our favorite cheese was a 6-year-aged extra sharp cheddar. |

| In the evening, we made it to our next campsite at the Quechee State Park. |
| We planned to walk across the street to a Mexican restaurant but it was closed so we settled for pizza again. It's an easy option for our big family. |
Quechee Gorge We took a trail from the bridge and hiked back to the campground, but no one had warned us how steep the hike back up would be! Wow! We were hot and exhausted by the time we made it back. |
| I was cracking up... not only at the fact that it was so steep she was literally crawling up the hill but also that her underwear was sticking out. 😂 |
| Our campsite was right on the edge of the gorge's valley. It was a beautiful setting at sunset. We made s'mores and played Trip Trivia, asking them questions about the trip. We are always amazed at the random details they remember and big things they forget. |

| One of those moments when I think...wow, this is my life. 💗 |
