On the Road to Recovery

After my post on Sunday evening, Mandi had one of the worst days of her life on Monday. She was in excruciating pain. I'll not go into the details, but the good news is she is feeling MUCH better today. As usual, Mandi was working hard in therapy again today...She walked using a regular walker!! Considering she was told she would go home in a wheelchair, this is extremely exciting news. She stood for 7 minutes, her longest time yet. AND, this is probably the very best news of all...Baby Gabe is off the ventilator!! Praise the Lord! He was taken back down to surgery yesterday evening. The ENT felt his airway wasn't ideal, but good enough to try without the ventilator. He's under an oxygen tent while they are slowing weaning him off the sedation. We're praying he can come home by the end of the week. Please be praying for no more complications.
